Job Title: Test Automation Architect

An Automated Test Architect is an individual with knowledge of software automated testing who understands how to develop and create robust automated test scripts for use during system integration test, regression test, and product test. Must have a desire/willingness to explore, troubleshoot and learn new skills/concepts/tools and be a self-starter that works well with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and execute automated tests using Rational Functional Tester
  • Help troubleshoot automated test issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for automation needs for the test team.
  • Work with manual testers to assist in creation ,design, and execution of both manual and automated tests

    Experience/Skills:

  • 7+ years hands-on functional testing using industry standard automated test tools. Experience with Rational Functional Tester is highly desired.
  • Proven track record of developing highly effective, data-driven and keyword-driven automated test scripts.
  • Experience in hands-on functional test development and execution for enterprise-class web-based application using multi-tiered application test environments
  • Hands-on, in-depth knowledge of software quality assurance/testing methodologies and practices including requirements traceability; test planning, design, and execution; and defect management.
  • Strong understanding of standard SDLC methodologies (knowledge of Rational Unified Process a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with the IBM Rational tools a plus but not a requirement
  • Medicaid Management Information Systems experience a plus
