Solutions Architect

The solutions architect will work with business representatives, application development teams and IT infrastructure teams and will define and document the infrastructure supporting the business solutions proposed to customers as well as the solutions used by ACS to support its own business.

The solutions architect will work within the Solutions Architecture team, and will develop, maintain, communicate and promote architecture guidelines and standards.

The solution architect will work with the application development teams and IT infrastructure teams and will develop and document standard infrastructure solutions, will promote innovative, reusable, secure and cost efficient solutions based on up to date technologies and will facilitate the product selection process.

The solutions architect will support technology consolidation efforts.

Preferred requirements for this position include:
· a practical knowledge and a large experience of a broad range of infrastructure technologies,
· a practical knowledge and a large experience of infrastructure services delivery techniques,
· a practical knowledge and a large experience of Internet facing environments,
· a familiarity with Enterprise Architecture concepts and best practices,
· the ability to understand how a business solution is delivered end to end,
·people skills and the technical credentials required to drive change in a large decentralized organization.

· Strong written/verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills
· Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
· Solid people, leadership, teamwork and documentation skills

Educational Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field, OR equivalent work experience
