ArthurSloan.com - Southeast Healthcare Controller Home Health and Hospice Services - Hands-on CPA, Third-Party Filings - Compensation: Base: $75,500 - $105,500/Year Benefits: Comprehensive Full Package Responsibilities: - Reports to the CFO of a growing $50 million, multi-location, home healthcare and hospice services business. - Directs the month-end financial closing and reporting process. - Assures all timely Third-party filings and receipts. - Analyzes results of operations and variances to management. - Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and cashflow plans. - Responsible for the accurate, timely accounting and reporting of the periodic financial results to investors and lenders. - Supervises all accounting personnel and related financial and accounting functions. - Assures accurate monthly journal entries, key non-standard items, and general ledger account reconciliations. - Performs hands-on accounting tasks, as necessary. - Initiates, supervises, and assists in special projects for the CFO. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Accounting from a known university. - Six-to-twelve years in healthcare accounting, budgeting, and analysis. - Strong organization, time-management and communication skills - Ability to "hire and fire". - Strong analytical skills and experience with budgeting. - Experience with all aspects of third-party reimbursements. - Systems integration and process reengineering experience. - Ability to supervise others and work independently. - A current CPA certificate is a strong plus. - Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills are necessary. - Strong references are anticipated.
