Under direction, the Accounting Division Manager plans, organizes, manages, administers, coordinates and directs the administrative, accounting and operational activities of a division of the Treasurer/Tax Collectors Office. The incumbent will also administer and direct the work of professional, technical or other fiscal support staff in activities related to the assigned division.
This is a management level class responsible for the overall administration of a division within the Treasurer/Tax Collectors Office. The incumbent will have a great degree of latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and decision-making, in addition to being responsible for developing and implementing division and department goals, objectives and standards.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess the equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, AND two years supervisory or administrative experience which has included fiscal management and program planning, development and administration or auditing and accounting experience. Additional experience as outlined above, may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis to a maximum of two years.
